Name: Château Pimpine
Château Pimpine is the second wine from one of Bordeaux’s benchmark biodynamic estates, Château Le Puy.
Like its parent estate, Pimpine is located in Saint-Cibard in the Right Bank and shares the same dynamic soils of clay, flint and limestone that create the backbone for some of Bordeaux’s most prized vines. These charmed vineyards sit on the same plateau as Saint-Emilion and Pomerol at 110 meters above sea level with a view Dordogne Valley below.
The winemaking here is done by Jean-Pierre Amoreau and his son Pascal, who keep everything biodynamic and yield very traditionally styled wines that harken back to a more balanced time in Bordeaux’s viticulture.
